The Rubicon Recovery Center College & University Scholarship helps students pursuing degrees in psychology, social work, counseling, addiction studies, and other related fields. By offering this award, we aim to ease the financial burden of higher education and encourage meaningful discussions on substance use and recovery. Should Campuses Offer Free Rideshare Services to Prevent Driving Under the Influence?
- Many students still drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, putting themselves and others at risk. Some argue universities should partner with Uber and Lyft to provide free or discounted rides to prevent accidents and promote safety. Others believe this would be too expensive and could encourage reckless behavior. Should colleges take on this responsibility, or should it be up to students to plan and arrange for safe transportation?
